The OKFestival 2012 Summary Day

NOTE FOR VIRTUAL PARTICIPANTS: Join us on the live Screen.io stream + chat during these sessions and we’ll share your thoughts!

10:00-11:00: Summary Plenary, INSPIRE Auditorium

Friday’s Summary Plenary, panel-style, will feature the Open Knowledge Foundation (OKF)’s Rufus Pollock and a panel of changemakers from both government and industry, answering the question “Now that the OKFestival has happened, where do we go next?” This plenary will be focused on reflection and discussion, with an emphasis on direct interaction with the audience. Let’s celebrate how amazing this week was together, and determine what we can do now to provoke positive change in our communities. Please get involved by sharing your thoughts and questions on http://screen.io/okfest so that we can use them in our reflections.

Featured Panelists:
  • Pia Waugh, open government community leader, Canberra, Australia
  • Philip Thigo, Program Associate at SODNET & Co-Founder of INFONET, Nairobi, Kenya
  • Antti Poikola, OKF Finland Incubating Chapter, Helsinki

Afterwards, the Topic Stream Organisers themselves will do the wrap up of what happened this week, what connections they made, and their thoughts on the future of this global movement…

This session will be live-streamed for virtual guests and others who were not able to attend the Topic Stream’s session, so it’s a good opportunity to reflect with the Guest Programme Planners who made it all happen this week.
