The World of PIKU is an audio-visual live-mixing project and performance. As much as a collection of stories, images, songs, sounds, The world of PIKU is an experiment in real-time narrative. Personal memories, images and experiences become collective stories.

In this performance, The World of Piku explores individual emotional and subjective experience in social or private situations, mapping the forces that put us in motion and give us direction. Memories and perceptions always, and in every situation, dictate our interactions and mould our perception of reality.

Ultrasound 2005 presents the second public performance of The World of PIKU, having previously premiered at the Pixelache 2005 festival in Helsinki. For this presentation Mesak/Tatu Metsätähti of Mr Velcro Fastener will create sounds and collaborate on the performance with Visual Systeemi VJ's Hahmo/Pete Ruikka and Naïve/Henrik Axlund.
