2002
The first Ultrasound event was launched in November 2002, and featured
Alexei Shulgin, Black Faction, Evol, Golan Levin, ixi-software, Nullpointer,
PowerBooks for Peace, Printed Circuit, Slub, Xabi Erkizia, Alice Angus,
Derek Hales, Jesper N Jorgensen, Christopher Murphy, Andrew Shoben, Dr.
Rob Stone, Adam Hoyle, Alex McLean, Adrian Ward, Anthony Rowe, and Blacktronica.

Icelandic Partition
In 2003 the festival presented it's first 'Partition', a term coined by
Thor Magnusson of ixi-software to describe the section dedicated the Icelandic
artists and performers, programmed by Thor. The reference is to the partitioning
of a computer's hard drive.
The Icelandic Partition presented a survey of the Icelandic contemporary music and performance scene, alongside an eclectic mix of UK and international artists and musicians:
Kitchen Motors Band, Johann Johannsson, Jaap Blonk, Adriana Sá, Joan La Barbara, Mugison, Ukiyo-e DJs, Arc Sound, Ed1, Plank, Ólöf Arnalds, Darri + Thorunn, Hilmar Jensson, @c + Lia + Vitor Joachim, Stilluppsteypa, Nullpointer, Messa di Voce, Golan Levin, Zach Lieberman, ap, Kippi Kaninus, Vindva Mei, Sumeru, David Ellis, Jo Thomas, Laurence Lane, Tom Betts, Joe Gilmore, ixi-software, Host Productions, Neil Spiller, Martin Howse, Jonathan Kemp, and Lia + Miguel Carvalhais.

The 2004 festival was co-curated with sound artist / graphic designer
Joe Gilmore, co-founder of the rand()%
project.
