In this video visomat inc. is going to take a close look at
the architecture of the former DDR. The details of socialistic buildings such
as reliefs, their frontal views, socialistic murals, etc. are playing important
roles within this distinctive architecture as well as its characteristic colours.
Many of the presented buildings and structures are no longer existent, and the
majority of the remaining buildings will be vanishing over the next years.
This is an edited version of a 60 min. video-audio-live-mix
made for a DVD release. The source material went through different software
during the VJ-mix, the original camera shots are all done by visomat inc. The
music was composed to this material and is also condensed to a 10 min. version.
