deKron is going
to present in SOFTWARE LOUNGE his experimental user interface for use
in live performances - Dirty pot.
The Dirty pot project is a search for a user interface that deals with
human motion and emotion. Other than expressing oneself by pressing a button
or moving a piece of plastic over a table, Dirty pot enables the user to
express himself by more or less fluid movements. The result is the ability
to use a computer in a more sensitive way than the usual on/off scenario.
Dirty pot is hooked up to a realtime video effects and mixing application.
Movie clips are applied to a ball. The user rotates the ball in a pot by moving it around.
Several behaviours may be applied to the clip that determine how it will influence
and be influenced by other clips.
