rand()% [UK]

int rand ( void );
Generate random number.
Returns a pseudo-random number in the range from 0 to RAND_MAX constant. This is generated by an algorithm that returns a series of non-related numbers each time is called. This algorithm should be initialized to different starting points using function srand to generate more realistic random numbers.
RAND_MAX is a constant defined in stdlib.h. Its default value is implementation defined.
Parameters.
(none)
Return Value.
An integer value between 0 and RAND_MAX.
Portability.
Defined in ANSI-C.

rand()% is a generative net.radio station. It is a host for computer driven / user defined audio programming.

Most web-radio stations broadcast archive programmes or relay live djs and audio performances in the manner of traditional radio. rand()% counters this predictable formula by presenting a radio station that is entirely automated, where every programme transmitted is composed in realtime by computer.

All audio is generated on demand by a unique series of artist / musician developed programs. Based on the format of a commercial radio station these broadcasts will be scheduled into 'dj' and 'programme' slots.

Each slot will be allocated to a contributor [musicians / artists / programmers] within which they can provide an automated computer program to generate the real-time audio for that broadcast.

Contributors include: Alku [es] / Dieb13 [at] / Boris Hauf [uk] / Lia+Carvalhais [at+pt] / Mijim [uk] / Nullpointer [uk] / Muio.org [uk] / Plank [uk] / Charlie Ferrari [uk] / Thor+Runar Magnusson [is] / Andy Gracie [uk] / Dave Corbett [uk] / Fehler vs. Pimmon [ie+de+au] / Slub [uk] /

As well as broadcasting generative audio, rand()% will be streaming all live music from the Ultrasound festival.
