Anthony Rowe is a founder member of interactive design agency squid s o u p. Squid s o u p 's work focuses on 3D interaction and combining sound and virtual space in intuitive ways. They have won numerous awards, including an International EMMA [Online art 2000], a BAFTA nomination [Interactive Art, 2002] and their work has been shown at dozens of events worldwide, ranging from ISEA [Japan 2002] and SIGGRAPH [LA 2001] to SONAR [Barcelona 2001].

Altzero
Altzero is an ongoing project exploring the relationships between sound and virtual space on the web, and as installations.

The various Altzero iterations use sound and 3D visuals to tackle issues of authorship and interactivity, active contribution and passive reception, and what we understand and expect from recorded media.

By creating spatial audiovisual compositions, altzero gives the listener the freedom to explore sound compositions at their own pace and in their own way, yet still experiencing the soundscape in a way defined by the composer. As listeners move through the space, they hear a dynamic mix of all sounds within earshot.
