'Depending on' by beeoff
"Depending on" is a real time produced audiovisual sculpture by the artist
group beeoff. The sound of the sculpture is generated from the video images
from a number of cameras filming the spectator. Just when you notice that
you can influence it, it switches, and to keep on interacting you have
to move. Itīs about creating and destroying a relationship between the
object and the spectator.
beeoff is a Swedish group of artists. beeoff works with sound-, video-
and software-art in many different ways, but always aimed to be produced
and distributed in real time. The group also started Splintermind, a forum
for 24-hours-a-day broadcasting of live audiovisual art to the internet
and to art-institutions in Scandinavia.
