Live performance

The Light Surgeons (UK) is a collective of designers, film makers and
musicians, best known for their pioneering design of visual displays
at clubs, commercial events, music tours & exhibitions. They have
been at the cutting edge of multimedia sound and light installations,
working across a range of media such as video, 16mm film, photography,
print based design, music & spoken narrative. The Surgeons have
provided creative production and toured internationally with live
music acts such as the Propellerheads, Cornershop, DJ Food and Unkle
and have worked with many other ground breaking independent record
labels and artists. Their experiments in celluloid & digital formats
have also lead to the production of promo videos, titles for broadcast,
art based installations, exhibition design and live performances at
many international film and new media festivals.

Live exploded documentary performance "APB [all points between]":

Taking you on a journey that crosses road movie with political essay,
through a collage of global imagery and sound the performance crosses
4 continents to culminate in an audio visual autopsy of the state of
the American nation, its obsessions with consumption, control and corruption.
A specially produced barrage of image bombs and foreign tongues where
club culture collides with feature film.

16:00 BUSH roadshow, 3e
Screening (duration approx 30-40 min)

GNN [ S-11 (Channel) Surfing the Apocalypse ]
2001, Video, Color, Approx 12 min.
Culled from over 20 hours of television footage recorded over a
one month period and across 13 networks, S-11 Redux is a sound-bite
blitzkrieg that challenges the messages we have been fed from our
mainstream media and the government it serves. Be warned - this
video moves quickly and will require at least two viewings to
digest its full impact. You may never be able to look at the
coverage of S-11 and its post-impact coverage the same way, ever again.
www.gnn.tv

Mike Nourse [Terror, Iraq, Weapons ]
2002, Video , Color, aprox 4 min
President Bush re-edited for meaning during anti-iraq speech in Ohio.

Bryan Boyce [State of the Union]
2001, video, color, 1:45 min
Baby Bush meets Tubby-land.
Completed in August 2001, this project was initially just a simple
comic skewering of George W. Bush and his defense policies... but
after September 11th, it took on a whole new meaning. State of the
Union now has a surreal documentary quality that is genuinely disturbing.

+ Much more!!!

This screening has been compiled by Edmar Marszewski / Select Media
Festival, Chicago (www.lumpen.com).

of prerecorded material. AVCENTRALEN is using a number of video cameras

of computers - "creative misuse of technology" describes the way the
